Sarah Arvelo

With nearly 30 years of experience in education, Ms. Arvelo is passionate about helping students grow as readers, learners, and young people. Now in her 8th year at Aug Prep, she is grateful to serve a school community that is also home to her daughter.

In the classroom, Ms. Arvelo combines high expectations with encouragement and support. She challenges students to think deeply, strengthen their reading skills, persevere when learning is difficult, and take ownership of their growth. She believes every student is capable of success and works to create a classroom where students feel known, valued, and challenged to become their best.

Grounded in her faith in Christ, Ms. Arvelo is committed to supporting the whole child—academically, personally, and spiritually. She values strong relationships with families and believes that when teachers, students, and parents work together, children are better equipped to reach their God-given potential.
