Rebecca has lived in Milwaukee, WI her whole life, growing up on Milwaukee's near Southside. She also has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Upper Iowa University and an associate degree in Human Services from Milwaukee Area Technical College. She most recently earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a master’s degree in Administration and School Leadership from Alverno College in 2022. She is approaching her 20th year of teaching and has had experiences teaching and leading in public, charter, and private schools in Milwaukee.
She enjoys hiking, camping, running, and coaching youth sports. She is also active in BSA Scouts. She loves giving back and serving in her home community. She is grateful that she can live her faith out loud at St. Augustine Prep to help guide students to be the best they can be academically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Her teaching philosophy is inspired by the quote by Ignacio Estrada — “If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.”
