Iris Reyes
I am a passionate educator with 8 years of experience in the education field. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of students, including those from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, both here in Wisconsin and most recently in Tampa, Florida. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and am currently working towards obtaining my Bachelors. My teaching experience spans from MPS where I worked as a Bilingual Social Worker Aide and Paraprofessional for 3 years. During my time in Tampa Florida I taught ELA, Social Studies, Bible and PE to third and fourth graders. For the last 5 years of teaching , I collaborated with other educators to develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans, plan and execute teacher trainings and established the sunshine committee. I was also nominated as the teacher of the year for the 2021-2022 school year.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have also worked as a short and long term substitute at various middle schools teaching math and science.
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking walks near the lake and listening to audiobooks.
I am excited to bring my passion and expertise to St. Augustine Preparatory and work collaboratively with fellow educators, parents, and students to create a nurturing and challenging learning environment.
