Sarah Foster
After moving around the country and living in many states growing up, Sarah Foster became a Badger at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she graduated with a double major in Elementary Education, grades K - 8 and Secondary Education - Theatre & Drama, grades 7 - 12. She served with the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ where she saw God move powerfully on campus, especially with international students. After graduation she was called to southern California where she began her teaching career with grade 3 and then, found her niche teaching middle school gifted and talented ELA and drama for ten years. She eventually made her way back to WI with a grade 5 teaching position in the Milwaukee northern suburbs.
It was then Sarah met her husband, took a hiatus from the public schools and served on staff at her church in Worship and Children’s Ministries for ten years while raising their three children. She directed many children worship experiences for Sunday mornings and served by leading and teaching many Vacation Bible Schools as well as participating in and leading the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) ministry and various Bible studies at her church.
Sarah returned to middle school theatre in a suburban public school setting where she developed a robust year-round after school theatre program which included productions during every season, a Costume Club, a Set Crew experience, and drama classes the last ten years. She also taught Family and Consumer Science in the middle school.
The AugPrep middle school drama teaching position is a direct answer to prayer for Sarah! She prayed in December for a full time middle school drama position and two or three weeks later the position appeared on her computer screen! Being so thankful for Aug Prep, its vision and mission, Sarah is now thrilled she has the opportunity to combine her love for teaching, theatre, and Jesus every day!
