Savannah Heigl

Savannah Heigl was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. Ms. Heigl attended Milwaukee Schools K-12, and after graduating from Ronald Reagan IB High School, she left Milwaukee to attend the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities. After 4 years and student teaching in grades K-12 at St. Paul Public Schools, she earned her Bachelor of Music in music education, with certifications in both K-12 choral and general classroom music. 

After graduating from the U of M, Ms. Heigl travelled back home to Milwaukee in 2019. Ms. Heigl felt a calling by God to give back to the community she was raised in, which first brought her to teach for 4 years in Milwaukee Public Schools, grades K-8. Ms. Heigl has also been strongly involved as a worship musician at her church, and worked at an after school program through the Boys and Girls Club where she offered music lessons to students. 

In her free time, aside from her musical endeavors, Ms. Heigl enjoys spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities like camping and hiking, reading a good book, and watching a movie that will make her laugh. 

Ms. Heigl is beyond thrilled to join the team at Aug Prep this year, and is excited to rejoice in God’s word through music and song with her students!
