Julie Halfaker
Mrs. Halfaker graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education. She spent three years teaching in Missouri and then another five years teaching in Texas. While she was teaching, she also earned her Master's in Education - Reading from Arkansas State University. Her focus areas for this degree were adolescent literacy and the connections between content area writing, reading, and learning.
All of her teaching so far has been working with 9th graders, so she is excited to work with the larger group of 9th grade students who are joining Aug Prep this year.
