Daesy Plascencia

Ms. Plascencia was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and she came to the United States when she was 5 years old. She was raised on Milwaukee’s south side. She attended Mount Mary University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology-Health Science with a minor in Chemistry and a Bachelor’s of the Arts degree in Spanish. 

During Ms. Plascencia's high school journey she participated in a college bound program called College Possible. This program guided her to enroll and persist in college. After obtaining her college degrees she decided to give back to College Possible. She signed up to serve as an AmeriCorp member to serve high school students to obtain the same help, guidance and encouragement she had received. 

Prior to coming to Aug Prep, Ms. Plascencia has worked at MPS and Charter high schools in the city of Milwaukee for the past 10 years. She is dedicated to helping students find their passions and follow their dreams beyond high school. 

She is excited to be working with Aug Prep’s class of 2025 as their senior seminar teacher/advisor.
