GLENDALE, Wis. - Before St. Augustine Preparatory Academy opens its second k-12 school, its construction project teaches a lesson in patience.

The Ramirez Family Foundation announced in July 2023 that it has acquired the Cardinal Stritch University campus in an agreement worth $24 million. The former college campus will soon be an expansion of St. Augustine Prep School.

Aug Prep Announces Bold New Plans for K-12 North Campus

Milwaukee (February 27, 2024) – St. Augustine Preparatory Academy (“Aug Prep”), a high-performing K4-12 Christian school, announced today bold new plans to invest a total of $100 million to transform the former Cardinal Stritch University property into St. Augustine Preparatory Academy’s North Campus. Plans for the school, which will be known as Aug Prep North, now include significant new construction, along with some renovation and upgrades to existing buildings.

The Ramirez Family Foundation aims to raise about $15 million over the next 18 months for its planned $50 million conversion of the former Cardinal Stritch University campus into a state choice program grade school.

The foundation, established which was founded by Gus and Becky Ramirez and has supported the development and expansion of St. Augustine Preparatory Academy on Milwaukee’s South Side, has yet to develop specific plans for the property.
