Matthew Koester

Mr. Matt Koester comes to Augustine Prep with five years of teaching experience in the inner city of Milwaukee. He received a degree in theater from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and spent time acting in both Chicago and Milwaukee as well as four years in Los Angeles.

While in Los Angeles, Mr. Koester enjoyed working with the Los Angeles Repertory Theater creating and performing original drama pieces for at-risk high school students. It was there that Mr. Koester developed his passion for teaching and encouraging young men and women. God eventually called him to teach 2^nd grade at a Christian school serving children on Milwaukee’s north side. He taught 2^nd grade for two years and then transitioned to 3^rd grade for the last three years. During that time, he returned to school to pursue a teaching license. He received his teaching certificate from the University of Concordia-Mequon in 2019.

 Mr. Koester joined the Aug. Prep. Family in June 2019. He can’t wait to use his skills to encourage, equip and teach young men and women about the love of Jesus and the hope that we have in Him.
